Arrive at the ten-hectare property on the outskirts of Armidale. The homestead is a time capsule of early 1900’s family pastoral life.

10:30 AM |Guided Mansion Tour
Experience a guided tour. Built between 1888 and 1906, the house remains largely untouched since the Edwardian era, featuring original furnishings and a collection of family items spanning from the 1870s to the 1970s.
12.00 PM |Self-Guided Outbuilding & Farm Walk
Explore the farm buildings and outbuildings that date back to 1910. The site holds a significant collection of early farm equipment that illustrates the agricultural history of the New England district.
12:30 PM |Picnic Lunch
Enjoy adelicious picnic style lunch with sandwiches and savouries. Served at tables,with chairs, for our guests comfort.
1.00 PM |Garden Stroll – self guided
Walk throughthe historic gardens, which include:
- Mary White’s Garden: A Jocelyn Brown-style cottage garden.
- The Heritage Rose Garden: Managed in collaboration with the Australian Garden History Society.
2.00 PM |Depart Saumerez Homestead
4.00 PM |Arrive Tamworth
